Re: Sooooo.........
^2nded. It's a lil break from the madness of 3ZC. "OK SO I'M LYKE 17 AND MY DADDY BOUGHT ME A 3000ZX. I WANNA PUT VERTICAL DOORS AND NEONS ON IT. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?"
Ok so that doesn't happen all the time.

Re: Sooooo.........
I've been ready to contribute here for a while..... it's just that my Z doesn't seem to need anything but oil changes and other maintenance.
I do have a clutch, rear main seal, 1-pc d/s, diff and tranny fluid change coming up soon. Soon being maybe this year. If I wasn't so lazy and such a net-whore now, I'd go and design or fabricate some stuff for xtra money so I could buy more toyz like a brake upsize, or some jdm tailz, or a fascia. |

Re: Sooooo.........
We could stir it up and play guess what's in the barn. No it's not a dead horse either.
Or what's in this garage.

Sooooo.........
Friday, I'm prolly going to LACR to watch another Z'er run his camaro. Freshly rebuilt motor that dyno'd 1,001 h.p. with NOS. Saturday, I'll clean the Z Saturday nite, off to the Ventura County fairgroundz for a nite of sprint car races. Sunday, Empire Z, Big Bear cruz and lunch with a bunch-o-Z'erzzzzz.

Re: Sooooo.........
In the big barn there's about 3 pickup loads of parts for the 260 in the front garage(one with the goal). Some of the parts are for perhaps a 280 since we found an entire injection manifold(complete), must go with the engine we found in the front garage under the bench.
The car is a 1974 260Z auto #RLS30-000078. The car is now listed at http://new.skidcity.com/ I first noticed this car when I was headed to court in February, the front door was barely open and all I saw was the rear of it and thought it looked like an old Z. Turns out it was and it's now mine. Apparently the car was there when these folks bought this farm 2 years ago(been sitting since 96). The old man that owned it is dead now and so is the rest of his family. Even had the manual laying open on the fender where he worked on it last. Inside the glove box was the plastic folder with the last registration, insurance papers and 2 condoms still in the wrapper. That back barn is full of all kinds of stuff, like 40 yard sales are stored back there, along with a lot of rabbit shit and when we opened up one room we found a ton of parts. The original spare is being used to plug a hole in one of the barn walls. The front garage with the car is a treasure trove of stuff, spent 3 hours digging thru stuff and kept finding parts. |

Re: Sooooo.........
There are some more pictures here http://s64.photobucket.com/albums/h...%20Barn%20260Z/
Not real great but shows some of the stuff. Jim, one of the guys that went with us to look at this one had picked up a early 240 and found condoms in the back tool pouch. Guess he was covering his tool. |
