Do you think my car is lowered?
Hey guys.. I was just messing around online and figured id look up the old for sale ad from my z and jason and i were noticing that it looks like it might be lowered. I know that the guy before me bought new shocks and adjustable suspension parts so it could be a possibility. Anyways, what do you think?
Note: My z is in Ny and im in hawaii... otherwise i'd go out and look at it myself -Nicole aka ac1drage

Re: Do you think my car is lowered?
Oh.. btw i was just talking to dave and he was saying that his TT looked like it was higher than his NA also... has anyone ever heard of that? When jason and i were first looking at pics of my car he was saying it looks lower than his TT thats why we thought it might be lowered. Any input? :-D
PS: Chris can you change my sn to my other sn on the other z forum? Nicola akazmaster to ac1drage lol Thanks love you bye |

Shouldn't in theory. TT's weigh more than 2+2's. |

Re: Do you think my car is lowered?
Yeah, i vote stock. Its a 2+2 so it weighs like 5klbs, c'mon give the springs a break.

Re: Do you think my car is lowered?
lol.. fyi ( and i think Chris and Dustin can vouche) the 2+2 weighs nearly the same as a tt. But im going to say i think its stock as well from looking at more 2+2 pics that i have. BUt im definitely going to check out what type of shock replacement is has.

Re: Do you think my car is lowered?
Actually, I believe the stock 2+2 is a tad lighter than a stock TT. The turbo system and HICAS weigh far more than an 8" extra slab of sheet metal and a longer driveshaft. I'll have to dig up the numbers to be sure, but I think I'm right.
Her suspension is definitely stock, no doubt about that. Shocks won't make it sag or sit lower, that's solely up to the springs. This is Eibach springs, which are a .8" drop. That little bit of drop filled in the fenderwells very nicely. If you had aftermarket springs, you would have far less gap. Last edited by TC : 03-26-2006 at 06:45 AM. |

Re: Do you think my car is lowered?
No need to say it again, but what the heck. Stock. And even though it might have sagging springs, its still stock springs. It'll still ride fairly smooth. Most lowering springs on a Z I've seen anyway give the car a stance rather than a "sagging" look.
