since 3ZC is down (damn you chris, lol) i will post this here.

i couldnt find a good picture, but you can kind of tell how the molding around my windshield looked silver in this pic.

well, i got tired of it looking like that, but i didnt want to spend $200 to replace it all. so i decided to spray paint it to see what it would look like. first, i masked it all off.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a211/freakonaleash1187/windshield%20trim/DSC00608.jpg

then i ran some 100 grit sand paper of it. then i ran some 600 grit sand paper over it. then i wiped it down with alcohol. then i put 5 coats of "Dupli-Color Trim Paint" on it.

then i took of all the masking and here is how it turned out.

Yeah, run a clay bar over the whole body the next time you are washing the car to remove any of the overspray. Looks much better though...I'll have to do that one of these days.

BE CAREFUL ABOUT USING NEWSPAPERS.... Sometimes bleeds through. Happened when we did my friends mouldings.

Get proper tape off stuff... or use a shit load of layers.

I've always been told to use that 'bumper black' stuff on the moldings. It has mild texturing in it, and hides blemishes well.
